Description

I spent yesterday in Australia's national capital, Canberra, at the ACT Scale Modellers' Society Annual Competition 2005.

The two-day competition was open to local club members, visitors from other clubs and the general public, including junior modellers. There was an impressive roll call of models of a wide range of subjects - planes, military vehicles, cars, trucks, figures, dioramas and more - built to a very high standard, including some very imaginative entries.

A busy vendors' room was also well attended, and included a large buy, swap and sell table.

The three hour drive from Sydney was well worthwhile!

Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for Galleries and Features of some of the models that were entered in the ACTSMS Annual Competition 2005.

Thanks to ACTSMS for their hospitality on the day.
