Description

Here are three images the Academy 1/35 scale AH-1W Huey Cobra.

The cockpit was almost as supplied in the kit but with a few bits added from scratch.

The model was finished in Humbrol enamels and the decals came from the rather excellent Two Bobs 'Whiskey's in the Mix' sheet, although the grey inside the shark's mouth was painted rather than using the supplied decal. [My fault not Two Bobs I hasten to add].

The TOW launcher was made out of plastic card with some kit parts being used.

References used were Osprey's AH-1W Walkaround, 'Cobra' by Mike Verier [Osprey] and WAPJ Vol; 40.

Final note; No etched brass sets were used in the building of this model! [As you can probably tell :]
