Here is Alan Frowen's scratchbuilt 1/72 scale German WWI Observation Balloon.

The model took second place in "Scratchbuilt, All Scales, Open" category during June's Melbourne Model Expo 2005 at Sandown.

The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 digital camera fitted with a 24-120mm VR lens. The camera was set to Aperture Priority, with the aperture at F.32.
