SNCASE 5003 Baroudeur

This is a computer illustration of the SNCASE ( or SE ) 5003 "Baroudeur".

Using a trolley powered by rockets (shown below the aircraft) for take off, it landed on skis, allowing the use of grass fields for operations, in place of vulnerable airfield.

However, the concept was let down by the difficulty of handling the machine once on the ground, due to the lack of landing gear.

Five were built. This is No. 1.

The illustration was made with Adobe Illustrator 10.
