Zvezda's 1/35 scale BMP-1 is available online from Squadron

This is a kit that I had a friend of mine build for me, so I could paint it and get it done quickly, as when he builds, he builds fast, whereas I take along time in the build area.

He informed me that it wasn't the greatest of kits to build, however the end result is quite acceptable straight from the box.

Once I got my hands onto it, out came the Aztek A470 airbrush and the Tamiya acrylics.

The green is a mixture of my own. I cant even remember what it was - should start to write them down in future!

The other is desert yellow, and then a diluted mixture of buff was sprayed over the top.

The dirty brown is a mixture of flat black and red brown sprayed into the panel lines and engine screen areas.

The markings were all hand painted as the decals were all unusable.

Once completed, another very diluted mix of buff was sprayed over the top to complete.

For a fast job, I am pretty happy with this kit, and thanks to Jason for the build work.
