Macchi C.200 Saetta

Special Hobby's 1/48 scale Macchi C.200 is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here is my Special Hobby 1/48 scale Aermacchi C.200 Saetta (Thunderbolt).

This is a C.200 of 369^ Squadriglia, 152°Gruppo, 54 ° Stormo Caccia Terrestri Caccia – Regia Aeronautica, Treviso Sant Angelo airbase (Treviso - north est Italy ) November 1939.

I built this kit straight from the box with the "fried eggs" camouflage on “ page 5 ( ali e colori - wings and coulours )  Italian book that inspired this project.

You can see the improvement in particular inside the landing gear bay .

The camouflage consists of standard scheme named “fried eggs “.

This comprises a base of Verde Mimetico 2 (dark green), Giallo Mimetico 4 (mimetic sand jellow ) , Bruno Mimetico (mimetic brown) and and Grigio Azzurro Chiaro 1 (Light Blue Gray) undersides.

I used exclusively a mixture of Tamiya basic colours , Gunze and Humbrol.

Decals are from the box, Tauro Model and Skymodels.
