Revell's 1/72 scale
Gulf War CH-53E

This is the Revell of Germany CH-53E (Kit No. 04435) in 1/72 scale. It is a reboxed Italeri kit with different decals.

I added wire aerials, piping along the refueling probe, and folded the main rotors. This was accomplished with photos I found on the Internet and small diameter brass rods. My CH-53E depicts a machine with HMH-466 with the United States Marine Corps during the First Gulf War, 1990-1991.

These particular helicopters had the Marine Land Scheme of FS 34095/37038/35237 where the low IR Field Green paint was over painted with a light tan. I mixed FS 37875 flat white with FS30219 tan until I got the shade I wanted.
