Mc Donnel Douglas F-4E ”Phantom II“

Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, 61st TFW Bushehr Air Base, 1980

This “Phantom” was loaded with with six AGM-65A “Maverick” and equipped with TISEO (Target Identification System Electro-Optical,)a system which identify targets beyond visual range and an ALQ-119 ECM- pod. During the 1st Persian Gulf War on 29 november 1980 in the Operation “Morvarid” of IRIAF, six F-4E from 61st TFW sunked several Iraqi missile patrol boats by shooting “Maverick” missiles.
