Description

After creating artwork to be included with the Fisher 1/32 F9F-8 Cougar kit, I decided to refine one of the illustrations and place it "in context".  Here is what I have done.

I masked and airbrushed this illustration in Adobe Photoshop.. It's far from perfect, but I have to stop and
say it's done. Try to think of it as a portrait of a Cougar.

This is the CAG bird of VF-61 (BuNo.141092), in 1956, deployed with the U.S.S. INTREPID (CV-11).
The INTREPID is seen in her post SCB-27A fit, festooned with those cool looking, twin 3-in. / 50 Cal
Autoloaders.

I'm offering prints of this illustration in 13" x 19" (329mm x 483mm) printed on heavyweight matte paper and they will be available thru my web site;  www.stephenmudgett.com

I hope to produce a mate for this print, eventually. Maybe an FJ-3 Fury?

By the way, the actual inspiration for this came from Paul Fisher's amazing kit, which may be found at www.fishermodels.com

Who says a model can't inspire?
