Description

This is the latest Ozmods release - a Grumman Panther F9F. The kit came with a very nice cockpit and seat .

You need to take some care when cutting parts from the sprue, but I only have one criticism of the  the kit -  the tail. You need sand the left and right sides of the tail (on the inner area) and check fit to the rest of fuselage, the other tip is cut the horizontal stabilizators in 2 parts (left and rigth) and sand the excess .

The kit is ready to build and I used Tenax R to joint parts and some Cyanocrylate bond as filler, no putty, you can see here in a picture before primer and paint.

I have some troubles in paint , I used Gunze acryl paints and their Midnigth blue is too dark ,so I repainted with Gunze Navy Blue.

The kit came with 2 decal options. The first version is a F9F-2 of VfF-21 (you can find the picture in Squadron in action page 17) , the other is a F9F-5 of Vf-192 (same as in The Bridges of Toko-ri) .

The kit was a pleasure to build and you can find this kit here http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/ozmodsscales/main.html
