						| Builder:
						Glen Phillips | 1st Guards' 54mm Halebardiner is a
well cast and well fitting metal figure. The pole-axe seems to be a
different style than that illustrated on the box. Clean-up was fairly easy; the
hardest part being the area between the legs. Everything was properly test
fitted, then I primed and painted most of the parts before assembly.
The helmet, cuirass, leg armor, and axe head were simply buffed with
a motor-tool and given black-brown washes for shading; otherwise,
everything is painted using Andrea's acrylics. The final assembly of the left arm
and axe to the body is a little tricky. Take your time and expect to
do some minor touch ups. They do fit well, but you have to slide the
pole through the hand and angle the arm to rest the pole on the
			shoulder. |
