Tamiya's 1/48 scale Heinkel He 162 A-2 is available online from Squadron.com

Here is my 1/48 scale Tamiya Heinkel He 162 A-2.

Additional parts include a pitot tube from medical injection needles, DF loop from Fine Molds, antenna from 0.3mm wire, and seat harness from Airwaves.

The upper wing and tailplane decals are from Aeromaster. The rest come from the kit. This was just to compare quality. The result is that, after the treatment with Micro Sol (only), no difference in quality can be noticed, so the kit decals can be used without any hesitation.

 

My Heinkel was prepared for paint with automotive primer/filler, then smoothed with Micromesh, Schmincke artist acrylics, weathering also with Schmincke, sprayed on coat Klear/Future and smoothed with fine Micromesh, decaling, recessed lines filled with thinned down Oceam Gray (X-TRA), finish with Marabu aqua matt varnish for serviette technique.
