Description

This is my Honda CR250R that was built for a recent competition.

As with all Tamiya bike kits, this was an easy build. The bike was built as per the instructions and a rider was added, also from Tamiya. There was a bit more work needed on the bike rider to fill gaps and sand down  mould lines. The body of the  rider was paint with Tamiya paints and  the flesh tones were done with Model Master paints

I decided early on to have this on  some sort of display. A cheap based was purchased from Bunnings Warehouse, and then a “burn “was  made from modelling clay. The rider was attached to the bike and then mounted to the base.

The weathering was done with a mixture of glue, paint and putty, using different  earth tone colours.

Sadly, this kit is no longer available, but you can still find them on Ebay like I did.

Hope you like it.
