Description

Here is Tamiya's 1/24 scale kit of this classic coupe from 1966.

The kit was built out of the box, with the exception of the mag wheels and the wiring of the engine bay. The wiring livened up this area a little. The mags are from the spares box and were pursuaded to fit into the tight confines of the coupes wheel bays.

The car is painted in Alcad Prissmatic colour changing paint. It is hard to see in photos, but the car changes from a golden red colour to a green colour depending on the angle you look at it.

The finish was achieved by painting 5 coats of Boyd's high gloss clear and then polishing with Tamiya's polishing compounds. About 2 hours of polishing went into this to give it that wet look.
