Description

This is Revell Germany's 1/24 Krupp Titan that I built a while back.

The chassis was detailed with over 230 nuts and bolts from a punch and die set and all the brake rods were remade from brass wire and plastic c beam sections.

The model was painted to represent a well maintained but in use truck, from the early fifties. Paints used are a mixture of Tamiya, Humbrol and what may be a first, the cab was painted with Xtracolour as they had the shade of grey I was looking for, and it is of course gloss.

The Chrome trim was all done with Bare Metal foil, which if applied carefully looks great for beadings etc on car/truck models.

The model took about 150 hours to complete due to the large number of sink and ejector pin marks, and I still didn’t get them all, and the rebuilding of the brake system etc. overall I am very happy with the look and sit of the finished model and feel that it represents the subject well.
