Description

Here is my 1/72 scale MiG-17PF from KP.

The KP kit provides a good shape of MiG-17PF, although details and small parts are poor.

I rescribed the lines and some of the rivets, but saved most of the rivets as original. At least to me,those rivets make MiG-17 look more like the taste of 1950s.

What's more, I cut some of the canopy because it seems too big to me.

The Extratech photo-etched helped a lot, and I also borrowed the landing gears from Dragon 1/72 MiG-17F just to save time.

I chose to depict my MiG-17 as one flown by Wenli Wang,PLAAF.Wang, who shot down a ROCAF(Taiwanese AF) P-2V7 above Linchuan, Jiangxi Province, China,on June 20,1963.

It was the very first time that ROCAF P-2V7 was destroyed in air combat (One has been shot down by AA cannon on November 6,1961), and the pilot Wenli Wang was later honoured with the title "Night Hunter".

Hope you'll enjoy my work.
