Panther Ausf. G (Late Version)

Tamiya's 1/35 scale Panther G Late Version is available online from
Squadron

Description

Here is Tamiya's 1/35 scale Panther Ausf. G, late version, as built and detailed by Chris Leeman.

The Aber detail set was used, as were the Elefant aluminium barrel, Anvil "Click-Link" resin individual tracks and Eduard side skirts. Various additional details were improved or scratchbuilt.

The finish of the model is based on two pictures of a Panther abandoned in the German town of Krefeld on 3 March 1945.All painting was done with Tamiya & Gunze acrylics.

The model took the best part of 10 months to complete (thanks to a new baby).

The figures are a combination of modified Warriors and Firestorm figures.

This model was photographed at the ACT Scale Modellers' Society Annual Competition held during May 2004 in Canberra, Australia's national capital.

Chris's Panther G has appeared in more detail in Issue 16 of AFV Modeller Magazine. You can visit AFV Modeller Magazine's website by following this link.
