Tamiya's 1/35 scale Panzer III Ausf. L is available online from Squadron

Here is Tamiya's 1/35 scale Panzer III L. It is painted with a mixture of Tamiya and Vallejo Modelair acrylics. For a change I weathered it predominantly in pastels, only resorting to acrylic craft paints for the tracks and the simulated scratches and chipped paint.

The tracks are Dragon single link plastic tracks, which with patience and care can be made to look quite presentable. The only issue was the guide teeth on Tamiyas drive sprocket, which are too thick to engage the Dragon links comfortably. I solved this buy modifying Dragon Panzer III drive sprockets to fit the Tamiya hull.

I used the Eduard etch set, and Aber tool clasps for some details, but I felt the kit itself was pretty good straight from the box. This was evident by the amount of p.e. I had left over.

The Commander figure is the kit supplied one, fitted with a Hornet head and painted entirely in oils.
