PBY-5A Catalina

Academy's 1/72 scale PBY-5A Catalina is available online from Squadron

This is my Monogram's 1/48 scale PBY-5A "Catalina", built as a civil version.

The prototype of this aircraft was built in the 1940s by Canadian Vickers flying now in New Zealand with the Catalina Group of New Zealand under ZK-PBY registration.

This model was painted with Tamia and Pentel acrylic paints.

Decals are from the Monogram box and self-made.

The hydraulic hoses on the main gear and various antennas are also scratchbuilt.
