Description

I've always liked this car as it really demonstrates the grueling nature of the LeMans 24hr race.

Fujimi kit 12198 with Studio27 p/e (FP2473).

Exterior body painted with Tamiya laquer TS26 spray. Polished out with micro-mesh polishing cloths and Tamiya rubbing compound. There is no clear coat over the decals, so they represent the real life sponsor stickers.

Interior mostly airbrushed in Tamiya acrylics with detail painting with Tamiya an Humbrol enamels.

Weathering is a mix of airbrushed on acrylics, brushed on enamels and MIG weathering pigments.

'Battle damage' was carved in before painting.

Driver converted from Tamiya rally car driver set (80610).

Built over 2 months for our local model club "Build the Same Kit (BSK)" competition last year.
