Description

I have had this vignette for some time in my collection, and only recently a good friend of mine who purchased this for me as a gift, was amazed that I hadn't done it yet and so a challenge was set.

As soon as he left my place, I began to work, thinking that I would take some time to complete it, but once I started I had to finish it, and three nights later, finished.

It is a very nice set, although a bit of cleaning was involved, and as there were no instructions or box art, a little time was spent on figuring out how to place the figures.

Seeing that the figures were dressed in the overcoats, I decided to add snow to the setting, using balsa fill with water and Micro Balloons.

Once the figures were painted and glued in place, I then stippled Balsa Fill on the appropriate places of their uniforms to blend them into the scenario.

The entire set was painted, using Tamiya and Vallejo acrylic paints, by hand brush.

Eamon, "The eagle finally landed."
