Hasegawa's 1/48 scale F-104G Starfighter is available online from Squadron.com
 

This is the special 2-plane box edition of the 1/72 Hasegawa F-104 and TF-104 kits featuring decals printed by Cartograf in Italy.

The models were built with minimal modifications, most of which being limited to the cockpit and closing of the undercarriage doors which were obviously meant to be left open. The model was finished in Tamiya and Gunze acrylics for the white and blue, and Alclad II for the NMF. Both aircrafts were sanded down to 8000grit wet and polished with Tamiya polishing compound – great stuff, I must admit!

This model was built as a gift for a buddy of mine, who just graduated with a bachelors in Aerospace Engineering a year ahead of me. Special thanks go to Mr. Rick Svetkoff and his generosity in obtaining the ‘Starfighters’ patch for the display base.
