Description

This is an out of the box build up of the new Tamiya Tiger I in 1/48 scale.

1/48 scale armour is a a whole new area of the modelling market that has been all but overlooked by everyone except resin manufacturers such as GasoLine. Tamiya has once again shown that they are willing to go where no one else dares to go and I hope they reap the benefits.

As a builder of 1/48 scale aircraft, 1/48 armour kits fit into my collection seamlessly. It always stikes me how small tanks are in comparison to aircraft or should I say, how big aircraft are!

Ths kit is a gem with finely detailed plastic tracks. I am not a Tiger expert and I understand that there may be a few deficiencies but to my eye, it is well done.

At the time of writing there is no photo-etch available for this kit but I am sure it will appear soon. As an aircraft modeller, it is a welcome break from detailing cockpits. wheel wells and canopies.
