Italeri's 1/35 scale
Tiger I

by Paul Nikolic

Italeri's 1/35 scale Tiger I Ausf.E/H is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here is my 1/35 scale Italeri Tiger I Ausf E/H built straight from the box.

This kit went together well except for the solid plastic individual tracks. Without any references, I found Angus Creighton's Tamiya build in TMMI Magazine Issue 70 which described this as the very early Tiger built up to November 1942 seeing action in Tunisia.

I chose a similar paint scheme using Vallejo air paints mixing greys and greens followed by a coat of Klear then decals then an oily wash of black and then drybrushing with enamels. A final dusting of Tamiya flat earth for dust and this project was finished in under a week.

I switched the numbers around to make 114 but this could be completely wrong of course. I noticed Angus' numbers were only a white outline with no red fill which I chose.

Good fun and good value.
